Privacy Policy
Merolot processes the birth details you provide for astrological calculations and the technical data needed to run the site. It does not profile you for advertising and does not sell your data.
Data controller
This policy covers personal data processed through the Merolot website and mobile app. The service is operated under the name Merolot, which acts as the data controller for that processing.
All correspondence, information requests and statutory applications are handled through a single electronic channel: [email protected]. That address is also the official point of contact for privacy and data protection matters.
Data we process
What we collect depends on the feature you use. Site content is readable without an account; the calculators require the details you enter.
- Birth date, birth time and birth place — used only for the chart or horoscope you requested.
- Guest session identifier — stored in your browser to keep your preferences (language, cookie consent).
- Technical records — IP address, browser type and error logs, for security and service continuity.
- Email address, if you opt into the newsletter.
Purposes and legal basis
Birth details are processed solely to produce the calculation you asked for; the legal basis is your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Technical records are kept under legitimate interest for security and continuity. Newsletter subscription rests on a separate double opt-in.
Retention
Calculation inputs are processed for as long as producing the result requires. If you have not created an account, they are not retained. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Technical records are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Third parties
Astrological calculations run on Merolot's own servers. AI providers may be used to generate interpretation text; in that case what is sent is the calculation result, not data identifying you. Your data is never sold or rented for advertising.
Your rights
Under GDPR and Turkish KVKK Article 11 you may access your data, request correction or erasure, object to processing, and receive your data in a portable format. Use the contact address below to exercise these rights.
Requests are answered within the periods prescribed by applicable law, to the extent your identity can be verified. Where a request cannot be met you are told why, and you keep the right to complain to your supervisory authority or, in Türkiye, to the Personal Data Protection Board.
